What happens at the first visit
The first sitting is for mapping, not for rushing a shell. We study the socket, lids and fellow eye in even light so size, curve and colour have a baseline.
If tissue is still swollen or healing, the impression waits. Hurrying here spoils later comfort.
Five questions before fabrication
- Is the socket ready in volume and moisture for an impression?
- Do the upper and lower lids cover and meet with enough symmetry?
- How does the fellow iris read in daylight?
- Is a recent surgery or inflammation still settling?
- Does the build timeline fit the way you live week to week?
After the impression
We share a clear path: iris painting, a trial fit, a final polish. Each step may be its own visit.
You leave with a realistic expectation. A prosthesis does not restore sight. What we make is harmony of gaze and comfort of the lids.
